You should read Shut Up and Give Me the Mic by Dee Snider. You needn't be a Twisted Sister fan, but it sounds like you'd like it. The story of the rise and fall of a celebrity. As opposed to Gillespie, Snider was sober all the time.
I'll give that Gillespie book a gander if I can find it somewhere.

I don't actually like football much as a sport but I do like to read about interesting people, Stan Collymore, Lee Sharpe, Gazza, and Robbie Fowler those type of people. I'm more of a rugby person

All kidding aside, I was a fan of Twisted Sister and Dee Snider in my early youth, but I bought the book for what an interesting life he had, so there you go. Read it.
