For the Dwarf, based on the character art on the cards, it's come up in our games that the Dwarf character is depicted as a person of color:

I don't necessary think you'd have to pick a little person to play the dwarf or a halfling character (see The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings etc.) so I'd pick English actor Nonso Anozie (Game of Thrones, Conan 2011, Ender's Game) as a candidate in this role. Also, he has a lot of experience playing fantasy/sci-fi characters:

There are few actors out there who can play all and every role. Jonny Depp is typecast for a special type of character, and for a reason, but then again, most actors are. And as long as he stays in his type, Depp is brilliant. I enjoyed all the movies you mentioned. And I think the wizard could be this type of character. Don't have to, of course.
Have a look ;)

Yes, singular. Role. He's a character actor and nothing more...
Out of all the people in this forum, knightkrawler is the one I would most prefer to have a beer or two with. Not out to hurt anyone's feelings in here but sometimes I feel like I'm reading my own posts, then I see his name on the right and I go wtf? Chees |_P

Now, I can comment on some of the guys mentioned.
Warwick Davis is a great actor, and a real dwarf for that matter, I don't think he could play the HQ dwarf though. I can't imagine him pulling out a "gimli" like the guy on LotR.
The barbarian would be the easiest choice, just get one of those muscular actors, new or old and you're done.
The elf could be played by an Orlando Bloom type, although the HQ elf is not depicted like the LotR ones. So I guess it could be as ugly as Woody Harrelson with a wig.
I can't say anything for the Wizard.

For Mentor/Morcar besides the obvious quick thoughts of Mckellen and Lee, I think Big Bene's choice of Tim Curry is the best for the bad guy.
He is the best one I can imagine as an evil wizard. He would have to have a more active part than Morcar has in HQ though.

Tee-Hee. It's after those |_P |_P that you'd probably prefer someone else. If blue fur could blush...
Johnny Depp brings people together, I'll give him that much.
If you ever travel across Germany when going from Greece to, say, Luxembourg, Bulgaria or New Zealand, make sure to drop by for those brews and a game, Tasos.
We could listen to Sleep and paint. You can teach me clean painting, and I can teach you ... wait, no. Let's just have the beers and the game.

Mentor: drathe
Morcar: Big Bene
Barbarian: Me, obviously :P
Elf: knightkrawler
Wizard: Goblin King
Dwarf: TMU xD

On a more serious note though:
Morcar: Tim Curry
Mentor: Ian McKellen
Barbarian: Arnold, but since he's a dinosaur now, Jason Momoa is a good choice indeed.
Elf: David Bowie
Wizard: Eddie Izzard
Dwarf: John Rhys Davies
Sir Ragnar: Hugh Jackman

Heck, all of these guys are pretty old, except for wolve Ragnar, let's keep Arnold in the picture xD
They could be the Heroes getting back together after a long LONG break from adventuring.

Gimmeyergold - based on the picture (which I wouldn't have thought
of looking at - hahaha), I would have to agree that, for looks, your choice
is perfect for the dwarf.

I've never seen him act, but if he is on Game of Thrones, he must be at least
half descent as an actor.

I think they are not too old to play experienced but not senior adventurers, expect for (besides Arnold, of course) David Bowie for the Elf. He doesn't look too shabby for his age, but you could definitely tell he's very human (but then again, if audiences buy Hugo Weaving as an ageless individual, anything goes).
I would like to bring back my suggestion of Leo di Caprio. He's a superb actor, and has a certain "elven" aire to him, but more sturdy and worldly than the Orlando Bloom type. I even think he somewhat resembles the Heroquest elf mini, expecially around the eyes.
And I still think Johnny Depp is not a bad actor. He is certainly overestimated, but for a certain type of role, he's ideal, and the Wizard could very well be that kind of type.
Have a look ;)
