Thanks. Yes, there are already appearing some errata in the new released expansion.
Kurgan wrote:You could consider them variations but they renamed the Potion of Speed from the Mage of the Mirror (which is different than the Game System armory Equipment card) in the Alchemist Deck to "Potion of Celerity." Not an errata but they changed names before to help differentiate two objects in different packs with the same name before (Potion of Restoration/Superior Restoration).
Yeah I think we may include a cross-check of names in the errata list to track it and avoid future confusions. Similar feeling with the gold price of Potion of Restoration which has been reduced to 300 gold coins, instead of 500 gold coins from KK or ROTWL. The name of Potion of Healing from PoT has been also renamed to Potion of Lesser Healing, surely to make it different from the regular Potion of Healing included in the GS Treasure deck.
Here a couple of two new minor errata I have been already detected in the
questbook:
-
Page 21, Note B: There is only one door in the room, not several rdoors, so "doors" should not be plural.
-
Page 21, Note F: typo "hands of the Heroes".
And about
Ogre Grog Alchemy card... it seems there is something missing in the text. Who would pay gold for this kind of potion which does not give any benefit?? Maybe its effects were intended to be active during a full turn of the Hero? or until it the Hero is damaged? I think here there is text missing.
In the other hand I have already found some translation mistakes in the cards from Spanish version of RotDM, which are the following ones, some of them affecting a bit the rules of the card:
Artifacts cards deck:- Garra de Cuervo (
Raven's Talon): The card text
"... podrás volver a tirar 1 Dado de Ataque en el que haya salido un Escudo Negro..." is not correctly translated according to original English text. It should had been translated as
"podrás volver a tirar cualquier Dado de Ataque en el que haya salido un Escudo Negro...".
Dread Spells cards deck:- Canaliza el Terror (
Channel Dread): The card text
"... que haya junto al lanzador..." is not correctly translated according to original English text. It should had been translated as
"que haya adyacente al lanzador...". Otherwise it could be interpreted that also applies with monsters placed in diagonal squares.
Alchemy cards deck:- Poción de Restauración (
Potion of Superior Restoration): The card title
"Poción de Restauración" is not correctly translated according to original English text. Card title should had been translated as
"Poción de Restauración Superior". This is a 'funny' detail because they have repeated the same translation mistake made in MoM Spanish version for this potion. Moreover, this new Spanish card has the correct illustration but it had not in MoM one (like now happens in the RotDM English card). No idea why they make these mistakes...
- Poción de Restablecimiento (
Potion of Restoration): The card title
"Poción de Restablecimiento" is not correctly translated according to original English text. Card title should had been translated as
"Poción de Restauración". Again, here is another breaking and 'funny' design decision for the Spanish version, because KK and ROTWL potions of same type were correctly translated to Spanish.
- Poción de Combate (
Potion of Battle): The card title
"Poción de Combate" is not correctly translated according to original English text. Card title should had been translated as
"Poción de Batalla". Spanish versions of KK and ROTWL correctly translated to Spanish the title of this potion.
- Poción de Furia de Combate (
Potion of Battle Rage): The card title
"Poción de Furia de Combate" is not correctly translated according to original English text. Card title should had been translated as
"Poción de Furia de Batalla". Spanish version of FH correctly translated to Spanish the title of this potion.
- Celeridad (
Potion of Celerity): The card title
"Celeridad" is incomplete according to original English text. Card title should had been translated as
"Poción de Celeridad".
Equipment cards deck:- Hacha Enana (
Handaxe): The card title
"Hacha Enana" is not correctly translated according to original English text since it could make a context confusion by linking the Spanish handaxe term with the Dwarves race, which is not done in the original English version. Card title should had been translated as
"Hacha de mano". (Same traslation mistake as seen in Handaxe card from Spanish Game System box)
