I've been collecting tiles over the years and I try to get them without the obvious ugly gridline overlay as much as possible. The Chaos Pit and Stone Bridge here are absolutely wonderful! I've also see someone else do a version of the Chaos Pit as well that works fantastically and doesn't have the grid overlay. I've even seen someone do a version of the Exterior tile, though I can't remember who did it or where I got it, but it fits perfectly. And even better, it's only 5x8 rather than 7x8 like the original, so it works on the new board that doesn't have that room at the bottom. I think it's interesting that for the new Ogre Horde, they kept the 7x8 for that even though it hangs off the board.
In the remake they seem to have incorporated the grid into the tiled room, which looks great. However, they didn't do that for the carpeted room. I've seen people make tiles for carpets that incorporate the grid into the art so it looks like the rug is just laid over a floor with made of stone tiles and has some highlights and shadows on it. Here's an example that I think is by someone from the Italian HeroQuest community:

Has anyone tried a version of the carpeted room tile for the Ogre Horde that doesn't have the ugly grid overlay but instead incorporates the grid into the art?
