I gotta thank you Spooky!! Your work helped me a lot to finally get a feeling of where this is all taking place! I got inspired again!

So this whole mapthing has inspired me to think of all the areas where I can use the outside boards in between quests.

Here are two maps I gonna use. Glad I finally painted the heroes, it really makes a difference!

The 4 heroes traversing a haunted forest!









And on the forest road at night! I gonna get more moss at the store and maybe find a few stones for the scenery once I go hiking.

Here is a villain addition from Boris minis for Dark Art Studios!

Its a work in progress, she needs a final touch but I am not quite sure what do next. I am happy for any feedback, suggestions or tips!

Here is another Outsideboard I gonna use. I started basing and painting up Boris miniatures he did for Dark Art Studios. I have to admit, they dont really fit very well into the overall oldschool style of HeroQuest, the charming clunkiness and the overall vibe. I still like them a lot for what they are, they are a bit darker, more realistic and really fun to paint! I think I gonna use them sparingly though as a standout character here and there on the sidemission quests I gonna do.

I gotta get my hands on some miniatures that fit the Heroquest oldschool vibe better. I checked some of the old 80ties citadel minis (thanks for the tip Lestodante). I really like them, the marauders and the old Lord of the Rings Citadel line are really cool, but fraggle they are expensive!

Next level...

Working on the mission through the firemountain which leads to the Quest for the Spiritblade. Printed out some highresolution lava texture to play around with some negative space ideas and Dwarven Forge Hellscape 1 and 2. Grand finale Lava-palooza!

Setting up the burrows with some soil texture I printed out! I gonna use this set up for an intro mission to find the secret entrance to Melars Maze. I gotta get some giant ants or some other insect to put in there.

Here is a little sideproject. I walked into this store by accident the other day and they sold these little autumn decoration branches. I bought a few and went on a mission to build some dead trees out of it for the outside boards. I glued them on these little treestumps cut out of branches. I am pretty happy with the result. Behoooold...The bewitched forest!
