Right, i want to search for traps in that room before moving around. If Crossbow man is happy to wait ago outside the door, i can hop inside the room and check for traps?

So just incase that's not clear, I enter onto first space inside door - crossbow man moves towards the door as far as he can. Then i search for traps.

If none I'll move towards the tomb...

Second is the way. The Crossbow doesn't work on diagonally adjacent squares in my games, in order to ensure a niche for the Helbardier.
