I discovered that my heroscribe package was missing a multicolored fimir.
Then I remembered that Knightkrawler once upon a time wanted to have simple colored squares to put behind furniture and monsters, so I added some of those, too.

Anything else to add before I go molesting Stratos for an update again? :-)

I made multi color monsters to ease the work next time I do something like the 4 colored questbook in my signature.

The colored squares are there to put them behind a mark or a monster, just to let them stand out.

One example for color marked monsters: Goblin King's The Mirror Maze.
The differently colored monsters appear to be stone statues until you encounter their mirror variant on the other side of the game board. Take a look at the quest notes, it's a very creative quest.

Very nice if you are as fast as with your undeads, you'll have a completely painted set soon!

Totally wish I would have saw your post about stirring the quick shade better, I think once I get everything to the same level of base coat and quick shade I am going to hit them with a Matte Finish a little hilights and add some wash to the ones that need it.

Today I am painting a couple of GW Bastmen and one Thantos Beastman.

Wow those models are frustrating! The GW Beastmen have dozens over dozens of details you don't need, and corners where the brush just doesn't arrive no matter what you do. I will finish those, now, but never again do I buy a GW Beastman!

The Thantos one is so easy in comparison. Sad that they're out of stock since months.

...on the one hand.
On the other hand, the details are so flat, so frustratingly unprecise...
I like the models designwise, but painting them gave me nosebleeds and aneurysms, possibly constipation.
I haven't quite proven that particular causality.

There's a lot of awesome Beastmen models out there, for example from Megalith Games, Reaper, Black Scorpion,
and of course the cream of the crop, Mierce Miniatures.
