This, to me, is the cringeworthy part. The part where I hope your wife has some kind of respect for your hobby and any effort that doesn't go in the wife herself (I've seen that).
I hope I'm way off with that, I've seen horses puke, as we say in Germany.
I hope it wasn't that, but rather a moment of regular lack of attention which would be entirely comprehensible and excusible.
Children destroy things before learning what IvenBach put into words.

This is horrible and tragic! I've been enjoying watching this board come together over the past several months and I know you've been working on it for far longer.

Is it salvageable?

My boys tried to put it back up on the shelf and dropped it. It got quite a belt off the table and then the ground. It could have been made from anything and it wouldn’t have survived. The boys were never in danger, thank God, well not until I got home

I may be able to fix it but I haven’t the heart or the time to try at the minute.

moss and lichen can go directly into the gaps. just have variety in color and texture and it's a new dawn.
