Zargon/Morcar mini question...

So I wasn't sure where to post this.
Does anyone know scale-wise how comparable HeroQuest is to HeroClix?
Because I feel like the Morcar depicted in the HQ comic is close enough to Doctor Doom that I could repaint the face black, tunic blue, and bottom half brown and it'd be a good approximation.

Yes, I, too prefer the interpretation of Morcar and Mentor in the Marvel Winter Special (i. e. the bearded guy in the red robe is Mentor, not Morcar).

Hero Clix Minis, as all modern fantasy minis, are slightly bigger than their 80ies counterparts, but they still fit fairly well.

I think the Dr. Doom figure is a great choice for a Morcar mod, but I would do more than just paint him:
- cut off his face and make the hood more "hollow"
- model skulls on his face and pteruges on his lower body
- remodel his arms or even swap them with arms from another figure.

Uhm... where did you find this figure? Did a search for Heroclicx Doom and got lots of other (much inferiior) versions.

Just cut off the weapons and put a rod in his right hand to make the staff.

Yes.
All good games need a final boss.
I've written a quest where Morcar/Zargon is the endgame foe, Mentor puts in an appearance, and Rogar even returns.

Heroclix models are more naturally scaled than the "heroic scale" of GW miniatures that have the oversized hands and heads. They are about the right size though.

Just use a knife and remove the head, he'll look great.

If you have or find arms which you like, you could cut the arms of, drill two shallow holes and glue the new ones in there... no green stuff required. Done.

I don't have tiny drillbits. I don't have replacement arms. I don't have equipment. I don't have a workshop.

I'm repainting him the proper color scheme.
I'm changing the gold circles into skulls.
And that's probably going to be about it.
