That's really a pity. I would really have loved to meet you. Moreover, I could personally give you something I have in work for you ... you know what I mean
Plus, as you know, we will play HQ, and for an event such as this, it would be appropriate to have the best equipment one can get. Including the best gameboard.
I was hoping that some participant(s) would bring decently painted figures, and one or two customized/selfmade boards. You have one of the most interesting 3D boards in work...

But of course I respect your reasons.

If time or money is the problem, I'd like to point out that the date is still realtively open (see above), and that there are people you could share a ride with, even people who offered financial help for the occasion.

Thanks Big Bene, it's great to be part of such a great little community here.

The dates or money are not the problem, it's the time. With 2 young kids and only very limited time off work it would be impossible to fit in. We've a family holiday booked too.

I am really looking forward to watching this thread over the summer, as I'm sure everyone else that won't be travelling is.

Maybe we can play on my 3D board when it's fully complete, with all figures painted, in around 2035

In the last weeks I have tired to contact some interested but still usure members and to get more feedback as for the date.
It seems there will be no more "candidates" than the ones on the list, and I will now concentrate on these.
Of course, if YOU want to come, and I have somehow overlooked you, you are still very welcome.

I think, we have to find a fixed date now asap.
Most onlly want to come for one weekend. There are five weekends in july:
30-2,
7-9,
14-16,
21-23,
28-30.

Please, everyone, tell me which would be your favorite, and wich ones you would rather not like.
Personally, I prefer the later dates, wich would give me more time for preparations.

There's a donator who will give around 50€, wich I would offer to anyone who has difficulties to pay the travel.

Besides school starts a week after, so I'd prefer to just rest and get everything ready that last week.

But like BB said, if that's the only date everyone else can... so be it

All in all, there are some interested members who still haven't reacted to my request for date preferences - mostly because they don't visit the Inn as frequently as others, there are stil many PNs in my outbox.
I don't want to complain, but I think we shouldn't wait any longer.

So, herewith, I declare July 20 to 23 as the official date for the meeting.
This includes thursday, so we have at least two days to have some fun together. Most people will arrive relatively late at the first day and will have to leave early at sunday. So we would have to take one or two days of holidays from work. People who can't do this can still join on friday.
Personally, I'm still open, and if it shows that the majority of participants cannot at this date but another one in July, I can still change it.
I prey that it's not already too late for more people as it was for Anderas...
