A brilliant idea....I think

Postby MadMickyG » April 19th, 2017, 8:31 pm

Oh my god. I have been playing an old PS1 came on an emulator called Azure Dreams.

Now, I have this whole 'game should be updated/recreated using HQ style monsters, with multiplayer option' in my head.

My programming skills died away many years ago. But I am wondering if this would be possible.

This thought/idea isnt going to go away anytime soon. :?

Or maybe create a quest pack out of it?

Quest pack, definitely!
I remember remodeling the first level of the first Zelda Game for Heroquest. It was as addictive as Heroquest and Zelda together, really a good experience!

I was already thinking of a way to make a quest pack, or at least one map to start with.

But the basic game game would fit HQ so nicely.

Has anyone else ever played Azure Dreams, and understands what I'm talking about?

I had started it about a month ago, but got too busy with school so I didn't get very far.

I watched a YouTube video of gameplay. "Programming" something like this is a relatively straightforward activity. Getting all of the digital artwork / 3D models / textures and sprites is the labor intensive part.
Has resigned from the forum and would delete his account if he could.

I found a website ages ago that helped you generate sprites. Was doing it for the HQ PC game that was made by Lurchbrick.

Might have to look this up. This thing is so in my head and wont go away. :P
