I was mostly just a player when I played it as a child. When I started with my kids, we played all the base quests with me as Zargon. My wife offered to be him for the expansion to give me a chance to be a player. I chose the wizard, since no one else had used him. Wizards suck, I have discovered.

How about rotating who gets to be Morcar?

That's a great idea for some groups, but most of my group is still pretty new to the game. This may be something fun to try when we get to the expansions...

Zargon is a giver...of pain.

I'm realizing this about myself. I just have so much fun as Zargon, I'm not sure if I even want to play as a hero. Maybe it's a power/control thing...

I only ever played as Morcar when I was a kid. As I'm the only one who knows the rules now I think I'll be stuck with this role when I eventually get back to playing.
