Can the Elf try and read the Orc lanaguge from this position? If so I'll attempt it and then move.

why not first move? You have to wait for the slow wizard anyway.

Just for info, the fight was going so bad for you because it was calculated against three heroes.
If a single hero or two heros at try the same amount of monsters, you get a lot more damage each, and i talk about two times, three times as much. The other way round, if you attack with all 4 heros or with mighty spells, the "planned" damage gets easily divided by two or even reduced to zero.

So better you stay together! Just a good advise.
