Gamemastery Flip-mat

Just picked this up today:

I'm a little disappointed in it. It is just a heavy paper mat. Since it is folded, it is going
to take forever for it to flatten out good to be usable for play (one of the reasons I am
disappointed with it).

Supposedly, you can write on with wet and dry erase marker and it will come off. Not sure
if I am buying that...I may attempt it in a corner somewhere.

Just thought I'd pass it on, in case anyone else has thought about picking any of these up.

We (my brother and I) own all of these. I don't like them because of the digital art. I have all of the painted ones that WotC made throughout its 3E tenure, also.

I'm with you there - I will always choose painted art over digital if possible.
One reason I am not fond of all the new fantasy art in the gaming books and
fantasy novels these days. Most of it, from what I can tell, is either completely
digital or highly digitized painted art.

I go old school - larry elmore and jeff easley stuff from TSR days. :)
