Game Board Converted into Chamber and Hall Tiles

Do not mount cardstock on foam-core, poster board, cardboard, corkboard, or toilet paper.

What problems do you see with using corkboard? My plan is to spray coat cardstock then use modpodge to mount it to the cork. Then use modpodge to seal everything. Toilet paper is still my backup plan.

I made my own tiles the same size as these before I saw this thread probably using the same file. Coulda saved myself a few hours of cut and paste, oh well. I'll can still hit you up for the expansion tiles.

How thick corkboard? My tiles were meticulously measured--the white wall areas you see were wholly fabricated by me to measure out exactly correct. My hallways designs are the product of two (expensive) test runs that gave me what I needed to know to make them work.

.5 Cm thick. 1.5 inch squares. I cut the white off the pics and cut the to cork be exact. I will paint the edges and sides to be stone.

The issue with the corkboard is that as PVA adhesives begin to dry they expand slightly. Corkboard, being made out of cork, will expand and distort with it, leaving you with warped squares that also have a tendency to buckle. I was half-way through a full board once and had to scrap the whole damn thing (except for the tiles). Mod Podge is verily the best-shit-ever, but it has its bad influences. Chipboard is the way to go, in my opinion. Its the actual product that game-boards typically get made from, and you can buy a pack of 25 black 12" sheets from Wal-Mart's website for under twenty-bucks.

Also, I went with 3cm squares. 1.5 inches is a bit big. You're going to have players intruding on spaces "occupied" by furniture. What I did was base each furnishing on a 2"x3" rectangular base. As seen here: viewtopic.php?f=56&t=1867

I was worried about it tearing easily so i got two four pack .5 cm thick 12 inch square's instead of a roll of super thin. I'll test a piece first, but it might only be a problem with the big ones huh?

I've been debating about the furniture situation. I liked what you did there.

The thickness is key. I mounted some dungeon tiles on 3mm foam-rubber once, and they held up until I'll let you know when. You will have to make bigger furniture, base your current furniture or yell at your players at for moving into spaces that are technically blocked.

I wonder how much it will affect the layout if I used the furniture as is, taking up fewer tiles. I now have doubles of everything so I could put two tables side by side for instance.

I also converted every other tile from every expansion, too. I need to streamline them a bit before I put them up.

This looks to be only the 22 rooms, did you do anything with your hallways?
