Ye Olde Inn 25th Anniversary HeroQuest quest pack

Brainstorming topics for the HeroQuest 25th Anniversary Quest Pack.

I will create one soon.
I will also try to post a rough storyline, then have people pick a quest, write it in concept, piece all those together, and then let everyone finish their quests knowing how it should all fit together.
Sound like a plan?

Until we get the poll, I'll use this time to share the plot I had considered myself.

* Village is raided by EVIL. Only four (heroes) escape - rest is killed or kidnapped. Heroes are contacted by Mentor.
* Raid seems too well coordinated - too accurate for sandpeople. Something's wrong. Heroes sent to investigate EVIL lair. Maybe free villagers?
* Discovers that SUPER EVIL seems to be guiding EVIL.
* Travel to AREA
* Investigate SUPER EVIL LAIR.
* SUPER EVIL are gathering slaves from all over the surrounding lands to be sacrificed at the SUPER EVIL temple in EVIL AREA - In order to awaken/summon SUPER AVATAR OF EVIL
* Must travel to temple. On the way nearby town is destroyed! Oh noes! SUPER AVATAR OF EVIL has already been summoned.
* Abort and instead gather X,Y and Z to unsommon. Go on crazy adventures.
* Travel to Temple to finally kill all SUPER EVIL and unsummon SUPER AVATAR OF EVIL.

Use some, all or nothing at all :)

:lol: I'm reminded of the plot of many videogame RPGs and JRPGs with this.
Regardless, this is a pretty solid premise to work from. There's a lot of quest potential here. :dwarf:

Here is my idea:

Twenty-five years after it began, the War Against Zargon was at its end. Beaten and broken, his immortality nearly vanquished, Zargon called upon the Powers of Chaos to aid him in his hour of need. Before Mentor could react, the Powers took place and Zargon was pulled out of reality through a tear in the fabric of time and space. Mentor's magic served him well in analyzing what had transpired, but the understanding came with terrible anxiety. Zargon had gone back in time--back to the beginning.

There was once a Gathering Storm--a series of great events that shaped the future leading to the Evil Wizard's downfall. It was then that Zargon's second evil rise to power was met head on by four heroes that just said "no." These times, however, are in danger of being rewritten.

Four new heroes look on through a mass of swirling energy that they've been told is a portal through time. Mentor tells them that the four heroes who came before them will no longer be enough. Zargon will have undoubtedly altered the past to prevent their present, and that simply cannot stand. Eight heroes and fourteen Quests.

HeroQuest: The Gathering Storm, Part Two--A Time for Heroes

Each of the 14 original Quests has been infiltrated by Zargon's agents of evil. More monsters roam each hall, and new traps lay hidden. Zargon seeks to undo the Heroes' every victory. Orcs, goblins, fimir, chaos warriors, zombies, mummies, skeletons, ice gremlins, giant wolves, ogres, ogre lords, the wizards of Zargon, the Frozen Horror, polar warbears and all the rest. Winning the day just became a lot more complicated.

I know its way (back) off topic, but here's what i could throw together as far as the card idea I imagined. Please excuse my meager GIMP skills.

I would put the logo on the other side of the card. But I like the idea.

would it be too hard to put the logo in the script at the bottom of the card? :)

I like the sound of time travel and re-inventing old quests chaoticprime ;) Would there be additional quests once the re-invented quests are complete? To round up to 25?

Also like the sound of Goblin-King's story. God this is going to be a hard one to decide :lol;
