Rare and Uncommon Monsters

Postby link_triforce21 » August 2nd, 2010, 5:14 pm

Back when I played Diablo and Diablo 2 like 8 hours a day, i always ran into champions and unique monsters, like 4 every 10 minutes, and i was thinkin' put it in HeroQuest so i did.

-Uncommon Monsters-
(5 per Quest)

Death Reaper
Black Orc
White Seer
Red Bones (will be in a Quest that i will be submitting sometime soon. I hope.)
Savage Orc (will be in a Quest that i will be submitting sometime soon. I hope.)
Savage Goblin (will be in a Quest that i will be submitting sometime soon. I hope.)

Any monster that is tougher then its regular counterpart and is under a different name.

-Rare Monsters-
(1 per Quest)

Any Boss monster that you put in your Quests
you can have more then 1 boss in a Quest, but only if you give a good reason.

Does it give some kind of reward upon dying?

you could have it drop a key or gold, with the rare monsters you could have it drop a magic item or a quest item. or when you kill the monster, uncommon or rare, you draw a treasure deck card.(ignoring hazards and wandering monster cards)

It certainly adds more excitement...heroes don't know how hard they might be or why they're there. I have a champion version of most of the standard monsters now, most made by customising HQ models.

mystery is what heroquest is all about. so if you change a skeleton in the first quest to a death reaper and don't tell the heroes, you just made the first quest even harder.
