I got inspired by your logo and decided to give it a go too.
I assume the material is going to have the HeroQuest logo on it anyway, so no reason to double it in the anniversary logo.
I think less is more. Personally I think the bottom logo is the best without any text besides "25".

I would prefer the 25 outside of the head, though, to keep this favorite icon of mine pristine. Set the skull down just a teensy little and/or make it very little smaller, and set the number on top of it, for the most part in between the leaves. Also, for the same reason I'd prefer the skull drawn in black.

Not what you said but 25 is outside the skull now.
Moving the skull down made the logo seem flat in the bottom.
