But I don't mind much since the Talisman minis are a tad bigger in scale than HQ anyways.

Yep, Ampersand's dwarf is the exact same height as the hq dwarf except for the platform shoes. The difference is negligible in my opinion.

Quite nice. I'll probably be sanding down the boots a bit.

to be honest I've always thought the stock dwarf was a little to stumpy and short.
Almost squashed looking.
This one is far superior.

Looking Great!!!

my ones just base-coated with purple sleeves.

I think a problem with a lot of the old heroquest figures is their feet just seem to melt into the base...

The base dwarf does not have shins. He lost them to a Japanese machine gun.

Guys you keep comparin to the original...here is a new one paint him up and move on lol. I didnt make a copy i made him in my vision. He is taller fo a reason so that he can fit in better with scale from other manufacturers. He does have thicker soles on his boots for a reason. To compenstate the axe in his hand. So shave off at your peril.as you can see from mine nothig looks out of place. And ive shaved nothing off anywhere
Ps dont forget to post him here when you are done :)
