I started on the golems from the bones kickstarter first. Nice and quick to paint up, just one tone, wash and dry brush.

Painted a dwarven slayer, a Bones elf and two gargoyles in progress. Hoping to finish them this weekend. Then they need a matte varnish spray, and I'll post pictures.

I am working on a card based version of AHQ. It is a tremendous project and I stumbled (and I am still stumbling) upon many many difficulties, but nonetheless, it is a very interesting project :-)

@Rémy: I saw your painted HQ figures, which are gorgeous. So, I am really curious about your painted skaven warriors and doors.

Sounds interesting. May I encourage you to post some of your progress and keep us updated? :goblin:

I already tried teh card based system... And it's quite impossible or way too heavy to not reconsider playing with with the original tables. After a few plays the tables are nothing of a problem and the game is fluid. I use to take 2 violet dices for end of corridor, 1 white for the length of the section and 2 blue dices for the content of the corridor. So one roll one section... The same for the rooms.
Cheers,

Rémy

Well, here are two of my latest minis... The Slayer turned out well, of course these close ups always make it look a lot worse. It's an old Warhammer metal. The Elf, well, not my best mini. It's one of the Bones minis, and it has so much detail, it's almost impossible to paint well. I think I'll be using a lot of Quickshade on these.

For some reason the matte varnish spray turns up a lot lighter when using flash. Almost looks grainy. But you can't see it with the naked eye fortunately.

I'd like to see your rules! I've been interested in a somewhat-simplified version of AHQ...
