After having seen some of the BRILLIANT tables posted on other places in here I went for a wander through ".com" land and stumbled on this from HIRST ARST MOLDS. I know they have been mentioned in ' YE OLDE INN ' already but have a gander at what they have done recently

Yes, those are pretty badass. I plan to buy those molds as soon as I am able to. Which is not likely to be soon.

The thin wall blocks would be ideal for HQ.

He'll yeah they're badass, and I agree wholly about the wall sections. I can't remember where I have seen them lately but someone used them, double thickness, as walls for their dungeon.
That was some serious awesome :D , dang I wish I could remember who it was. I do know that there is a thread somewhere in the miniatures section that was linked to it.
Oh we'll, will look for it tomorrow at work :D hehe when I should be working ;)

My brother ordered all five molds associated with Hirst's Inn. I should have them today or tomorrow.

Well back to the drawing board. Ignore everything I've said in this thread up to this point.

The gray figures are 1/72 scale, aren't they? So what scale are HeroQuest figures? 1/32?

The Barbarian is ~28 mm from the bottom of his boots to the middle of his eyes and on the game crafter homepage the sorceress is meassured at 26.16 mm.

Better comparison: The Orc is ~24 mm to his elbow on his weapon holding arm, so I guess the height in mm is from the bottom of the base to the highest point on the figure. Sad, there are some nice figures in there, but I guess they are all to small.

Even if they were taller they wouldn't fit HQ style.
They are realistic in scale, HQ minis are heroic.
In Descent, 2nd edition there are some seriously good looking, superbly detailed hero miniatures, wasted because of that scale.
FFG need to acknowledge their sales would be even better if they went with 28 mm scale or even 30 mm.

I really like the Troll from reaper bones... he is in the background

The three figures on the left are casts from Billdask.
