Yes! The cardboard parts have always bothered me, even as a kid.Would it really had been that much trouble to just sculpt a whole chest instead of piecing it together by four parts?

It was probably cheaper to mass produce?

I for one would love to see new furniture, even if just one item.

I would love to have a Minotaur character, plastic with a square base just like the original HQ figures. I would flip the bill myself for a few molds or sculptures if I new of a company here in the states that would do it.

What I would love the most would be to see releases of the wizard/dwarf quest pack miniatures. The 4-ups exist! They are just sitting in some guy's basement waiting to go into production.
I mean... anyone could make a minotaur and stick it on a HQ base. But to get the official original mini! Sigh...

Keep in mind that for Kickstarter, it would be best if you have already created at least one prototype to show off to potential donors. It would go far in helping the project reach funding.

Re: Kickstarting Pastiche Heroquest Miniatures

We have the concept art for those. My way would involve remaking all of those minis, especially the female Elf and Barbarian, in the same scale as the original Heroquest miniatures. I would take that fur-cape/hammer wielding Dwarf variant design and have it rendered female, also.

@Decipher - I own a company that produces miniatures, but I just recently sold off my fantasy range to another company. If we organize a kickstarter, and you footed the cost of the first green, we could seriously get this project rolling. Jewels has suggested that having at least one green sculpted and ready would be the thing.

I know pretty much all the oldschool miniature people, too. I know the Ral Partha guys, a few of the Grenadier guys, and at least two of the original Citadel guys. Mark Evans, who apprenticed beneath Kev Adams, would be my first choice as sculptor. He's actually a personal friend of mine over facebook, and has sculpted one miniature for me in the past. Promoting the campaign would not be hard.

Very recently my friend who owns Center Stage Miniatures has has three very successful kickstarters for old-school style miniatures that have each rounded off over 40k in funding. We do not need nearly that much.

We need a list of all the figures to be remade or made new. We need to prioritize them somehow. We need to then break them into funding groups relative to kickstarter. Knightcrawler, you'd be my first choice to do this, because you seem to have plastic minis in your blood.

My guys at Valiant can produce them in white or grey resin. Also, here is the miniature I had sculpted by Mark Evans: Image

Well, thank you for your confidence.
I'd be honored and thrilled to be part of such a project.

I don't exactly know what you mean by me having plastic minis in my blood. I seem to have a good memory where this and that mini comes from, when it was published, things like that.
However, if I can help, I will.
I know I want certain things... female dwarf, female wizard, sir ragnar, various character figures,
Orcs with crossbows, goblins with spears, spririt riders, dwarf skeletons... you know the deal.

I am already about to start compiling lists of specific minis needed (or wanted) for the original quests. One of many projects, right now.
Also, I would take into consideration the White Dwarf published quests: skaven, trolls, things like that.
If it all comes together I will happily put work in this as far as it's cut out for me and vice versa.
