I think going with the original art works great! I like how the walls are easily formed by the negative space. It actually might be kind of cool to see how the flatter expansion tiles turned out on a thicker tile, side by side with parts of the main board. This would highlight the cohesiveness of your look. Do you plan to do (or have you done) corridor stairways as a thinner overlay, or fully magnatized?

I have the Kellar's Keep stairs made up, and they are fully magnetized, just like the normal halls. The only parts that overlay are blocked squares and such. I have the frozen river, ice slide, grin's crag, and so on all made up to sit directly on the board and not to overlay other pieces.

It's been a while since I've thread mined :lol:

What thickness of magnetic sheeting did you use? I've seen 0.4 mm, 0.6 mm, 0.9 mm and 1.6 mm listed here. I'd imagine you'd use 0.6 or maybe 0.9 mm? I have no idea what the imperial unit would be.
