I make ropes of wire. Take alength of hobby wire (about 1/4mm thick, you get this kind of stuff around christmas or in hobby stores, it's often used in floristic deco), fold it in half, put some thin but sturdy rod in the folding (I use a file [in the sense of rasp, not electronic data]), grip the two ends with pliers and turn them around while holding a good pull. Looks great and holds it's shape. Paint brown.Miksang wrote:I think sewing string would be way too thin.
