It was a monster to translate, I tell you...
Daedalus is editing my version of the quest book text.
Let's bug him into doing it faster...

Just FYI:
1. ghan wrote this thing in French,
2. I translated it into English the best I could
3. Daedalus is editing it (better English, better fluff, better style)

I have a .doc (.odt)-version of the translation which I change with every change Daedalus makes and I/we concur with.
When it's finished, I'm gonna send the file to ghan who will make the .pdf.

Soooo,
there are some questions to you all:
The goal is to make it look like a US quest book.

1. Mentor's introductory speeches I set in italics.
Is that the original US HQ-style or should I change it?

2. What about the font(s) and font size(s)?

3. Also, you know, bullet point styles and stylistic things like that, that can be transferred from .doc (.odt) to .pdf
Would be nice to know about these.

If anyone of you knows how to do this stuff we could talk ghan into letting me send the file to that person first to take
a shitload of work from ghan's shoulders...

I am writing a program for doing pages with the American formatting. It will be an editor that you just have to write the texts in some textboxes and to upload a map from HeroScribe, and it will export an image file with the correct formatting (colors, columns, etc). So everyone who wants to make a quest will make it easy and like the originals.

If you can wait one or two weeks you can use my program. I will share it in the forum.

ps: I don’t know the fonts though. I only know that the “QUEST 1, 2, etc” labels are using “Caxton.ttf –Bold” with antializing (the antializing is very important or else it looks very different)

Unfortunately I don't know the sizes for the European book fonts. But they're mostly Gaze for titles and Aldine721 for text.
