Great, this is much improved. There are still several misprints left, mostly omitted spacings, but it seems ready for the final polishing now.

Bringing this document to a near-perfect outcome is a good exercise for all people involved. When I have more time, I'll work through it once more and let you know. Experience says that for every 3-5 errors one finds, one more slips by or emerges anew. So we should be close to the finish.

Thanks for the quest. I love the advert for the Wizard Quest Pack. It looks all finished? When do you think it will be available to purchase please?

The flier is just a tribute... the WQP will never be offered for purchase (only Hasbro has that right), but will be released for free when it's done. Sadly it's not done yet...

Thanks for the update. Very professional job on the flier; it looks very realistic.

The official remake of Wizards of Morcar is coming out sometime between December and March (depending upon which country we're talking about if the pre-order pages are accurate)... I wonder which Wizard themed pack will come out first?

Cronista Tronoluna has posted a playthrough report of this Introductory Quest on his blog here:

https://tronoluna.wordpress.com/2025/11 ... solitario/

He also posted this other brief article about the Snow Tiger and how he homebrewed its monster card:

https://tronoluna.wordpress.com/2025/11 ... -de-sable/

They played the Quest twice and Thornwyck was able to reach the final room against Szarv in both games, however some bad results against Sleep chaos spell avoided Thornwyck to succeed on his mission, but he was so close!!

Thanks a lot to Tronoluna for posting this report, it is so appreciated to see people playing the creation of other fans.

Just two clarifications about this playthrough for illustrative purposes for any future player of this Quest:

- In this playthrough the Ring of Illusion was used over Szarv to force him casting a Fear spell against one of the Orcs in the room, however that's not actually allowed by the artifact rules since it can only be used to perform a regular attack, not casting spells. Nevertheless, of course any Zargon player may homebrew it as wished.

- In this playthrough Future Sight Spell Scroll was not unfortunatelly used since it had given a great aid to Thornwyck, that's the intention of this artifact, however it is incorrecly mentioned in the report that this scroll allows rerolling once one die roll. The actual rule allows the user of the scroll to reroll once any failed dice rolled since the scroll is used until its user next turn, including rolls during Zargon's turn.

Yeah, Thornwyck was so lucky there...!

I think is a bit risky not playing this Quest without Water spells instead or Air ones, especially thinking on Water of healing spell, but well, here there is an example of an alternative way of playing it, which is great.

Our friends of the YouTube channel HeroQuest Italia have posted today a video of a full playthrough of Dark Magic quest, here you have the link for watching:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZVBblZyKqo&t=11s

They played with a mixture of material from classic Italian version of the game and new components from modern HQ21 version, and Thownwyck was played by a 8 year old player (I guess Giovanni's son), but even considering the extra help given by Zargon and the great luck with the dice by Thornwyck, the Quest still looked rather funny and balanced during the playthrough, according to Giovanni's words.

Additionally, yesterday The Fair-Weather Man also gave some insights about Dark Magic quest and the Wizard Quest Pack revival project on his YouTube channel here (Minute 14:55):
