Rumor HQ + D&D mix forced by Hasbro? HeroQuest needs such?

I was sure that I recently read (not from an authoritative source) that there will be a Marvel crossover, so you pick your superhero and then do missions to defeat the villains. Lots of scope for expansions. I didn't really pay that much attention to it so I couldn't even say where I read it.

Makes much more sense than D&D, which already has so much overlap in the lore that no one would notice it wasn't part of D&D if you didn't tell them.

Based on products like Betrayal at Baldur's Gate and D&D Clue, I'd say that any cross-over will just be a stand-alone theme/skin. Any rule changes are very minor and apply only to that product. The biggest changes in BatBG stem from the fact that the game-play is more a cross between 2nd and 3d edition Betrayal. As such, I expect that a D&D themed HeroQuest would probably be released in a format similar to First Light.
