Oh, thats cool to know, the more expansions the best.
Maybe they will add miniatures for orcs with spears and orcs and goblins with ranged weapons... And more and more...

And didn't they mention that they were looking at Dwarf and Wizard packs as their own things? Or that he didn't see themselves combining packs together or something like that?

SirRick wrote:Maybe both quest books will even have conclusions at the end. I seem to remember those two had nothing to read after the quests were over. Not even a “Congratulations! You destroyed the vile minions of Zargon and saved the universe. Consider yourself a hero.”

That's correct but the intro to Wizards of Morcar is basically the epilogue for ATOH. It begins exactly where the Ogre Horde ends.

Fair enough, and if they're going to keep them as separate sets (expanded to 10 quests each as the latest interviews lead us to believe is their plan), they probably should make sure both have an intro and end text in the box. They could re-word the same material for ATOH's epilogue to make it into more of a tease for the next set...

Even if WOM is written to have a cliffhanger "make the next quest yourself on this blank map on the next page" that is still better than nothing!

Latest pulse Con adverts don't seem to include Heroquest's logo. They mention the standard stuff (i.e. GIJoe, Transformers, Marvel, Star wars etc...) along with game properties (ex. DND and Magic) but no HQ. I hope they didn't get pushed off the show. Maybe some yeoldeinners on their discord can inquire as to the size of their presence on Pulse Con, if any? I don't believe an official schedule of events has been released yet.

Also, ClownfishTV on YouTube has aninterview up with former Hasbro employee Bobby Vala. Not HQ related but he has good insight into the "corporate think" of Hasbro and it's partners. Some of his stories make me glad HQ is a niche brand. Less interference from the "suits" who care more about bottom lines than actual innovation.

Yeah, I wonder what the appetite is like at Hasbro/AH. I'd love to see comics, graphic novels and stuff like that.

I think it's funny that there's only three "official" novel type books. I bet people would go for that kind of stuff, even if they were only ebooks.

But all in all, it's fun having new stuff come out.

The official pulsecon trailer shows a goblin and the "Mentor" logo. That to me is reason enough to expect HeroQuest stuff even if it's something small, even if it isn't mentioned in the "logo taking shape" one.

As reported elsewhere, Heroquest and AH will not have their own panel at PulseCon tomorrow. Hopefully, they will have their own Livestream down the line as other brands often do. Maybe they will at least mention HQ at Pulsecon.

The full schedule is below if anyone is interested.

I was thinking that if we get a lot of "big" figures in the Ogre Expansion that it would be a good time to make a new board. Or possibly an entire new overlay for a whole quadrant of the board. I figure larger monsters would live in a place with larger corridors and doorways.

I doubt they would go that far but it's an idea I think is pretty cool for a future expansion. Talisman did something similar and I thought why not do it in HQ too?

Well, as we've seen PulseCon was a wash in terms of any new info on HQ releases... it was just a quick announcement of the Pre-orders for the Dread Veil Dice and Playmat scroll (the same one given away at GenCon that people were scalping for $350) for $34.99 (limit 2 packages per customer) starting Feb 1st.

There's still "Spiel Essen" convention in Germany Oct 5-8th. Maybe we'll learn something more there...

At the very least, we'll have confirmation that these expansions are coming out when fans start unboxing them on camera, but hopefully before then this time! ;)

Yes, as HispaZargon pointed out on HeroQuestFans discord there was a mysterious image on some plastic sprues in the background of one shot. It appears plastic versions of the map icons of monsters like goblin, gargoyle, abomination and zombie (?) appear. What could these be used for? Nobody knows... might be some in-game decoration, or maybe some game-themed merch for the future? A magnetic HeroQuest travel game? 3d images for use in some "quest maker" kit?

(see the brightened and sharpened background below, if you can do better, have at it...)
