I guess the artwork picture is not a fake but it looks like a conceptual draft. For me has sense releasing a new expansion including features similar to the Guardian Knights, even some Mythic exclusive pics (see the background Spirit Queens picture?), but now worldwide, not only in English language. Maybe I am wrong but again, by now I believe this picture is not a fake. Let's see what is said in the following days.

The Frozen Horror teaser was more or less what we got, just minus the text added to the box... it was the artwork we would eventually get. I think we mean that the picture is "fake" in the sense that he just was joking around saying he was showing us the "Frozen Horror teaser moment" and then superimposed the new artwork over the spot where the FH artwork originally was, but he really means this is the next real product coming out, meant to get us all talking about what the next expansion will be like!

I like your suggestion of a possible connection to Spirit Queen's Torment. Maybe a tie-in to the Elf Quest pack somehow? A lead in to another quest pack in the future (Dwarf, Wizard)? Very interesting possibilities. If it is a way to get the Guardian Knights back in a different form, it could show the precedent and pathway for getting most/all of the other Mythic exclusives out to the retail market without upsetting the backers of the original pledge drive who collected those "limited exclusives."

If nothing else, maybe we would one day get a full Mythic box with a roll call of pledgers thanked at the end (with permission?) or maybe it would be piecemeal in something like this, altering things just enough not to violate any past agreements.

When I hear "new" I am thinking "new" not just "new for people who missed out on the Guardian Knight and the Mythic tier" though. So having the Knight as a participant in a new quest book seems logical to me, whether he's an actual Hero or just a mercenary or NPC (I'm guessing Hero). I don't think they would release this pack with the assumption that only people who were lucky enough to get the GK can fully appreciate it. And people who did get those might still have good reasons to want to buy this as well... AH seems dedicated to keeping as many fans happy as possible.

"The Rise of the Dread Knights" sounds well... could be a remake of classic "Dark Company" expansion?

Encarmine clarified that it is NOT a remake of any legacy HeroQuest product, so NOT the Dark Company sadly, but probably something much more!

So a new, official, full expansion pack, "all" (?) original... the first one in retail (we assume) since the Mythic box... wow! Can they pull it off? I'd be curious who wrote it, but given their successes (and lessons learned) so far, I'd say there's a good chance it will be a hit. Hopefully the quests inside are of worthy quality, and it's not just a pile of new assets to inspire creators (although the latter is a good thing too).
