Does this mean the elf pack will come with a male elf?

If not they really need to include him, he's missing from the retail version that most people got!

For those of us NOT on facebook, anyone please care to save and share some of those sweet pictures here? Thanks in advance! (only need 14 quality posts to become champion and post uploads by the way).

Not enough info yet about that, but I would bet you are right.

So I managed to buy Heroquest and both expansions new and sealed for 157,50 euros including shipping and taxes. Doesn't sound like a bad deal right?

Screw those scalpers!

Dang, I hope those are prototypes.
Take a good look at those blue dice, they're terrible! The black shields look like some guy with a weird mustache, the paint on the white shield side has completely run together on some, and some of those skulls look like they have whale teeth.
I do hope those monsters are lo-res prototypes too, because they don't stand up to the sculpts that the new heroquest come with.
I mean, I'm fairly well guaranteed to be getting this thing, so I hope they do better :gargoyle:

I like the (apparent) look of the new monsters. They tapped deeply into the original designs while still updating just enough to feel okay with the 2021 aesthetic.

I'd also note, that the lighting in the FB image posted above is a little odd (at least to me), and may be artificially washing some details out compared to what we'd seen before.

At a guess, I'd say the artistic references to the old design style may have been easier to do with this set, since these were originally monsters from the NA sets. I don't know what the copyright situation was at that point, but perhaps these were wholly original designs and not tied to GW lore, thus easier to recreate?

I don't know what that means for the Elf set, since the UK did have Ogres (incidentally, my Ogres were gray, and not black or dark blue).

As to the dice, I think they look fine, and I'm looking forward to seeing them in person. Again, the lighting could be doing odd things to the die faces though, so who knows?

As to release dates, I'm not holding my breath for any particular estimate at this time, and will still be happy if we see the Frozen Horror hit NA retail by Q1 2023.
