I guess we’ll have an official Ogre Horde conversion to NA rules!

What are the differences between NA and EU „Against the Ogre Hordes“?
I know about the differences of the basic game but not about this addon.

I doubt a NA version will use the variable BP system. Should finally get official fixed BP stats. The falling block traps work differently, and the Chaos tokens will probably become new Chaos Spells… to name a few off top of my head.

The confirmation was a series of jokes and artwork for the Barbarian Quest Pack. The Ogre Horde was a rather vague joke on twitter only.

Phoenix has demonstrated how easily the EU exclusive packs can be converted to NA rules of course. Generally the pack becomes much harder (due to the presence of more multi-body point monsters and a few places you can become trapped by falling block traps, but you can be saved from death by potions of course) but other things were kept the same. I played the first four quests with my gaming group (having a group of fully equipped heroes) a few years ago this way and we did okay (using the fixed Ogre body points option).

Some confusion may be that people don't know "Barbarian Quest Pack" = Frozen Horror. I never had the thing, so I didn't really realize that those two things are the same.

Good point! THIS is what we're talking about: here.

Several videos around the time of Hasbro's Pulse Con showed a remade image of the BQP box art on a shelf next to other Hasbro games, featured prominently behind the person speaking. One of the Hasbro reps encouraged fans to "chill" while waiting for future HeroQuest releases, some of which would be new and some based on legacy products.

I am pretty much convinced that the next "remake" after the BQP will be the EQP, but as before I have zero proof of this, it's just a natural assumption... that is, if the BQP remake release is not a total disaster (I'm hoping it won't be... they should release an errata to head this off!).

And also, given the debacle with the Guardian Knights they shouldn't make it a limited edition or exclusive release, but a full retail product like GS, KK and ROTWL were.

I can almost guarantee they won't do this, it's just a super fan dream.

To be fair, the orgional quest is set up to use one biard you reset after the heros move.

Exactly! I'm commenting on the common fan "I need three more boards!" reaction to seeing the Dark Company for the first time. ;)

And yes, when you cross over, the board resets anyway. The only benefit I guess would be if you wanted to split up the heroes, I guess to prevent the monsters "respawning," meanwhile negating the benefit by increasing the difficulty by splitting up the heroes, but it would certainly look more epic.
