Turns out I will be busy this weekend so not hosting a session myself over zoom. Maybe next?

I could possibly be up for a Friday evening or Saturday.
Either which way, I don't think I'll be able to get away with a 6 hr session again.
Should be able to do at least 2, maybe 3.

Yeah we'll have to come up with some ways to speed things up, (as much as I hate to admit it) I agree. Probably try out some of those movement tweaks others have suggested (when no monsters around, bonus during specific moments). One (two max) heroes per player.

Could even just split a quest up.

Yep, I think 1 character per player would a be a solid way to go. You'd just have to make adjustments as you see fit.
HeroQuest is also simple enough to where we might be able to just save our progress with a few notes (used treasure cards, EW cards you have drawn, etc) and call a pause if needed, resuming on another day when able.

Absolutely, I've done the "pause and take a picture" thing with many groups before, nothing wrong with that either if people are willing to pick it up again a week later...

I'm willing to try different things because the time thing has been an issue!

Saturday (Aug 14th) 12-2pm; 2-4pm

Not saying we can't have multiple sessions, but this gives me a better idea. So far the Saturday later time block has proven the most popular.

One vote for Saturday so far. Another thing we've seen happen is someone drops out and another takes his place, if people are okay with that (sometimes he dies in the second half!).

I'm not sure if it was the new version of OBS or the new version of Zoom that goofed things up, but now I can't have two apps using the same webcam at the same time. I'm using Win10 64 bit and it worked two months ago, but no longer.

So I can either share my screen and show the OBS screen exclusively (need to print out the quest map/notes since I can't switch easily without giving it away!) OR just use Zoom alone and manually switch screens (no overlapping pictures).

This is an annoyance but it's still playable. I've setup my document camera so I can (with some difficulty) twist it around any part of the board. So it's doable, but not as smooth and easy as it once was.

I can experiment with downgrading my version of OBS and possibly Zoom (have to setup the meeting with the old version if that's even possible), but not this time. I'm done messing with it for today.

So far nobody has joined, so Friday Session A is a wash (as I expected it would be). Waiting to see if anyone joins for the second one.

If not I'll be ready to go for tomorrow!
