Fascinating, good to see EBGames is still with us. That pic shows a new mockup we haven't seen before, at least combined as it is.

Oct 1st? Interesting find, thanks for posting and a long belated welcome to the forums, Kimarous!

A few little details... I see both gray and brown furniture, though without correspondence to the original pieces (I would expect the Altar and Torture Rack to be Gray and the Fireplace to be Brown). Don't see any rats or skulls (detachable?). The "tomb" is massive, almost as if it would be big enough to have a removable lid to serve as a mini dice holder (or shaker, though a very small one similar to that weird plastic one in the basic Yahtzee set these days), going back to those early "sneak preview" YT vids.

Yet another change to the dice... square with black boxes around the icons on the white ones (looking suspiciously like those stickers on the cubes included with the infamous "card game" from awhile back) and black pips on the red (which doesn't look bad, but what's wrong with gold?). The undead look more cream/beige than yellowed. In fact, the colors overall look more like one of the EU variants (the brighter one). Interesting that the "closeup" of the miniatures shows them really shiny.

The dwarf is scaled in an odd way compared to the other heroes, like he has a giant head, etc.

Can't quite tell if this is all digital or not. The board looks like a solid piece rather than a quad or bi-fold (can't see the seam, unless my eyesight is just failing me).

$180... for just the game system? So $50 more than the Heroic Tier including shipping ($100 + 30 S&H) [Edit: Canadian dollars, duh!]. October-November is about the time we were expecting the pledged version to be shipped. I would hope the info was accurate, but presumably they're just going by what they were told by Avalon Hill/Hasbro.

Look at me, scrapping at these crumbs! I want to see the cards but all we can really see are a couple of monster cards ("Dread" Warrior and a corner of the Orc, Gargoyle and Zombie cards)... and a blurry pic of Heroic Brew with identical text to what we've seen before.

One thing that does interest me is the box contents list in that third pic.

93 game cards? That's specifically NOT counting the 4 hero "turn cards." The NA game had 66.

What are the other 27? I can understand some of those being equipment (14-15 in total?)... maybe with multiples of some "popular choices"? And a few extra treasure cards? I guess we still don't know exactly.

No boys (or humans of any kind) shown playing this one. Adult collectible... keep in box? (j/k, hopefully)

Edit: And is that "boot" gone from the board? (unless it's hidden behind the throne). They were so careful to preserve so many other details, that would be a shame... :bites-lip:

that board looks like it could be a roll up mat

There's a thought. And they should have put the Armory board on the reverse side!

$180 CAD is approximately $145 USD.

It's also the case that Canadians usually get REAMED on CAD prices vs. USD prices.

I am not going to believe it.

I dont see any tiles in any of these pictures, nor quest book, nor character sheets. You wouldn't leave that out of a promotional image, or off the box. If this is real, then they don't have the tiles, the character sheets, or the quest books ready yet.

This image was photoshoppped and cropped onto the back of the box above.

Also these combat die are the ones with stickers on them. look closely.

HeroQuest is not listed.

https://avalonhill.wizards.com/games

avalonhill.com redirects to https://avalonhill.wizards.com which means WotC is in control of the future of HQ and AH now...?

also look at the back of the box, something fishy about the corners of it.

So another mock-up. I agree!

The re-seller/distributor needed an image and either made one up, or had to use what they were given (prior to this sites were using the one straight from the pledge drive). Just use the dice design in the trailer, they looked great!

I'm a take a wild guess that October 1st is a placeholder date. First of the month tends to be.

It has to be, just look at the picture without the board below them showing the minis on white background. 3 orcs are a dark green, and one orc is a lighter green like the goblins and abomination.

Also the mummies and zombies are tan-ish, while the skeletons are white.

You can even see the color difference in the greens on the back of the box, and i am colorblind and can see it. So i am calling shenanigans.

and there is now people cancelling orders and calling out HASBRO for failure to give updates on twitter.

This is what an update looks like. How the hell are you going to allow @EBGamesCanada break this before official channels? You guys are incompetent. #heroquest

As much as the original Heroquest is my favourite boardgame of all time. I'm cancelling my @Hasbro @HasbroPulse @heroquest pre-order with @zavvi due to lack of release date, information and I personally feel the mini design to be a bit lackluster.

Will they try to change the total if people do cancel to claim less "bonus" unlocks they have to deliver?

I assumed they were in shadow (simulated shadow if it's a digital mock-up!), but you may have a point.

The original HQ had variations in colors. The NA figures were a darker red, darker green and yellowed-white (possibly a darker gray as well), while the EU and other sets were either medium red/green/gray and WHITE or a bright red/green and light gray with white (and all distinguished by a beveled edge to the bases that the NA lacked, but was found in the NA exclusive expansion packs, go figure) [and we're not counting the recently discussed black "beta" variants].

Would they really lower the goals if enough people cancelled? I don't know. Do other companies do that for their stretch goal fundraisers? A lot of folks would have to cancel to make that even a question ($122,550 worth... approx 817 mythic tiers cancelled to "lose" the female Dread Sorcerer, another $200K beyond that to "lose" the extra 2 dread warriors, etc). Imagine if the unlock figures have already been created (then again, they could save them for last just in case the above scenario, though again I think unlikely). Would be embarrassing for the company, certainly.

If I were Hasbro, I wouldn't let any work go to waste. Any unused designs would be sold off or re-purposed for some other project to sell. I guess if it were just a 3d file on a computer that's one thing, but if I'd already made the molds and prototyped figures... but then again we know they did this with the unused HQ minis and those never got officially released (though pictures and recreations are all over the internet and the prototypes sit on various people's desks in private collections I presume).

More pledgers voicing their concerns (and even going so far as to cancel their orders*) can't be so easily dismissed as "ungrateful children" or whatever insult will come from white knight fanboys on twitter.

* You can't actually "cancel" your order at this point, but you CAN return the product within 90 days from delivery (unopened) for a refund, and of course if it somehow never came out, you'd expect a refund there too, but it's obviously coming out, the only question is the final form of the product that will be actually released!
