What paper are the European cards made from?

I wanna print some extra cards for my HQ adventures. So lets say I go down to my local print shop, and I give him the beautiful pdfs we got in this site (I trust that they have the correct card sizes), what kind of paper am I supposed to ask for? What kind of paper are the original European cards made from?
I want them to fit the original cards perfectly, so I want same sizes and same kind of paper.

I think it may be 300 gr paper but I am not sure, anyway it is smooth on the interior and rough on the back.

Actually this varries, the range is between 300 gr up to 320 gr paper. Many copyshop sites offer a 310 gr standard for playing cards, so you might go for that.

To be honest, you're unlikely to get them to perfectly match.

It's easier to get them to print the core set cards too then they will all match perfectly.

The problem is not the paper but the size. Both US and Eur versions of the cards have an uncommon size. If you ask to print cards with custom sizes the price will rise a lot.
So I am also thinking to adapt all the cards to poker size and reprint them all professionally. Poker size are just a little bit longer than the US cards, so this will also allow to put in a couple more of text lines in the description.

Well, the special card size is a problem, since you've got to pay extra for a custom size, but I did so and I'm really satisfied with the results. You can't tell the difference between my additional HQ cards and the original ones. The only difference is, that the printed cards are brand new and the orignal ones show a few signs of age & useage. I ordered at a German professional online printing service called http://www.quartettbar.de and they did an excellent job. Like this I didn't have to print the original cards with a new more common size. I just wanted to have my additional cards look like the old ones and print them. So I can confirm, this is possible, you just have to find an online printing service which offers custom sizes. Wrote a few E-Mails to different professional printing services, most were unwilling to print cards in a custom size, but this one said yes for 20 € extra (since they had to recalibrate the printing machine for this job as they told me) and I really don't regret it.

Can you tell us more about your order? I’m not seeing anything on the site that appears to align with a 54mm x 80mm card? Was it a ‘completely custom’ print order?

I ended up using the translate function on my mobile phone browser, but the 54x80mm (Catan sized cards) are apparently uncommon.

However, there’s a company that does American card sizes, and indicates that they can do custom sized cards as well:
