Ummm...yeah. I just spent over 10 minutes browsing through the ridiculousness of dice that site offers,
and did not find the dice you pictures. How about adding an actual link to the dice themselves, instead
of a link to the home page for the site?

Dun worry, I got this:

That said, these are not cheap, no matter how high quality they may be. Prices range from $4-20.

Yeah very expensive and that website is pretty difficult to maneuver.

Sweet! You can get a Sterling Silver set of dice. At $70.00 per di it could get spendy but it is an option. Wish I was stinkin' rich. Bet on it I would so have a set.

The good thing at Shapeways is you can upload your own design. Not just regular dice with custom symbols, but every form you want in a pleroma of materials.

Is there any cheaper alternatives out there?

Well, there's always the German website shopping-guru.de. They sell sets of 6 dice for 8.20 Euros each, which, while cheaper than the Shapeways customs, are still heck of expensive for just dice.

You could also do what I did and just print properly-sized labels onto sticky paper, cut them up and paste them to otherwise-normal d6es, which cost much less per each than specialty stuff. I make no claim as to these dice being properly weighted to roll even odds after sticking them up or anything, but I didn't notice anything untoward during my playthrough of slev's HQR 4 years ago, so it's probably fine. Behold through the magic of blurry phone-camera pictures!

Anyone order any of those German dice mentioned abovew "Recently"...?

I have been curious for sometime but don't want to spend a bunch of cash on a defunct site or product that no longer actually exists...From another country no less.

Thanks in advance if anyone has purchased them recently.

As to the OP; I have never ordered anything from shapeways, but there have been a few tempting items here and there.

maj!

I bought some of the colored dice around 6 months ago. I really like them. I bought them off his website, then sent an e-mail asking to pay with PayPal. He got back to me in about 48 hours or so. Arrived here in the states in less than 2 weeks. I was impressed with the German post - quicker than UK, which I always considered fast.

There wasn't any communication problemsm very pleased and they're really good dice.
