I've been thinking about swapping some of my plastic zip lock bags out for nicer dice bags for... err... dice and other gaming pieces and was wondering what's out there that's worth getting? I'm not talking super luxo stuff but I don't mean something cheap that will fall apart or shed it's skin on me.
What do people have?

I have some experience with dice bags but I have to admit, I'm not a fan of dice bags. Ironically, I'm a HUGE fan of zip locking sandwich bags. They're cheap, but they're the most amazing things in the world when it comes to organizing things. Almost all of my HQ things are in zip locked sandwich bags!
As for dice bags, almost all of them are created equally if you ask me. One major problem most of them have though is that they don't fasten shut tightly and if you're getting serious about your dice you want to make sure they can't fall out and get lost or scattered about. I'd say try looking for a dice bag that has some kind of clasp. Most of them come with those stupid string thingies and don't tie well. The dice bags I've gone through include one that came with a ton of dice I ordered online (big and yellow), one that came with a Words with Friends board game for all the letter tiles and improvised things like that. Next argument is probably the feel of the bag. If you like the bag soft, search for something velvet. Stay away from any leather ice bags, they age horribly.

One argument only:
You can see what's in a zip bag from the outside.
I have nothing good to say about the concept of dice bags.

Velour dice bags with a lining are inexpexsive and work well. You can get fancier if needs be.
I have a single dice bag for ALL my HQ dice, and that's quite a lot!

The felt bag that crown royal comes in would work.

This isn't a problem in the slightest if you ask me! Being able to see into the bag makes it much easier to find things on a pinch and my HQ game is full of mini's, furniture, custom tiles and more. I've never had an instance where being able to see into the bag was a problem.

It looks like one of those little bags with rice from a wedding. Does people bring rice bags like this at weddings in other countries?

I've been to weddings with those rice bags in America. I've also seen them in Taiwanese weddings, but candy was instead placed inside for the reception.
