Hi.

I just found Heroscribe and have downloaded the allinone pack.

I can open the program and create maps with no problems. I can export them as well, but if I save a map in Heroscribe and then try to open it I get the following error.

I checked my Java install and it is the latest as of today. Even the quests that come with the package have this problem when I try to load them.

I am using Windows 8.1 64 bit in case that makes a difference.

ERROR
"Can't open file: unknown protocol. f

Can anyone tell me what might be causing the issue? I'm really hoping to be able to use this program to design some custom maps to play.

You install GhostScript?

Yes, I installed Ghostscript 64 but that only effects exporting to PDFs from what I understand.

Are you running in Administrator mode, ie. is your account an Administrator account? HeroScribe does not play nice if you're not, I have found. (Though I use Windows 7, not 8.1).

Yes my account is an administrator account.

Everyone.

I got it fixed. I was installing the installer version then copying the files in allinone over the existing installation. I think deleting everything within the DtdXsd folder then copying the files from the allinone DtdXsd folder did the trick. At least its working now. I'm so excited and can't wait to start designing maps.
