I searched here, but couldn't find anything on it...does anyone know a source for 1x2 bases as similar as possible to the bases that "large" monsters like the giant wolf and the frozen horror are mounted on?

I got a pack of slotta bases of eBay a few months ago. They are 25mm x 50mm. They have two slots in them. I got 10 in the package and I think it was like.......5 or 6 USD.

I'm leaning toward these, as I've wanted to add some larger monsters to the mix, but I won't need all 25... I might get the lot if some of y'all here would want a share? We could do a trade or something

Yes! I'm in favor of waiting for the Zealot bases. Very pleased with what I've ordered in the past. I'm overdue for a re-up on those swell standard bases, too
