Let's hope that it will be a classic dungeon crawler and nothing else. Though I doubt it will have the rules of the old one with the 200 pages... 21st May is very close, and even that makes me anxious. If they design this for years it is almost impossible that we didn't hear anything, so I am afraid that they complete it fast.

The golden Boy on the cover is like a great Anderas repellent.

I bet they reuse the old rules 1:1. It worked back then why shouldn't it work now. Disregarding the fact that there is concurrence now.

I want it to be just normal Warhammer Quest, but it's probably a simplistic minigame with only a handful of miniatures provided.
I'm preparing to be disappointed...

b... b... but SpaceHulk quality fantasy dungeon tiles...

Don't get your hopes up Don't get your hopes up Don't get your hopes up Don't get your hopes up Don't get your hopes up Don't get your hopes up

Indeed, don't get your hopes up. Because these tiles will cost you 100 not-pesetas.

i heard about this about 8 months ago. i believe that the whole thing was planned in with the original AOS release of last year. and around january-ish i read of the planned may release.

The game is set in the Age of Sigmar world.
Chaos opponents – highlighting Tzeentch.
Modular board with random layout.

Multi mission campaign in box with White Dwarf mission add-ons.

6 Heroes included:
Stormcast Eternal
Ogor
Duardin
Aelf
2 others (unknown)
Chaos Opponents included:

12 Horrors
4 Screamers
2 Flamers
6 Cultists
1 Sorceror
1 Deamon Prince of Tzeentch (boss)

it might be worth a punt for the Tzeentch stuff. i have zero interest really in AOS those gold space marine thingies or the new dwarfs. but whats not to say this might be something you can throw out the new and bring back the old world heroes and enemies? i'd like to get my hands on it. but i think ill wait to see the mini's tiles etc first

Pure Tzeentch moonsters... no regular dungeon dwellers... The tiles and heroes damn well better impress me!

That’s not enough even for a common encounter in WHQ. In a common combat you probably have to face 2D6 skaven, 2D6 bats, etc. And with all those 1s in power phases most of the time you are fighting with 10+ monsters in each combat... So, for sure the rules are changed from the previous warhammer quest.

I guess they have remove the unexpected encounters and the monsters should be tougher, but still they are not enough. They probably have only one quest in the box and only one level for the heroes. Let’s hope they have put more rules for higher levels and rules for more monsters to make our own campaigns.

Also, it's important to put some rules for villages, towns, stores, traveling, etc. The standards are high and they should consider this.

8 days left until warhammer fest. We will see...

About deamons in WHQ, they where some of the toughest monsters. I could expect this as an expansion than a starter. Probably they going to make lot's of expansions if the sales goes well. But it's very strange to begin a starter with one of the most difficult monsters of the old world... How could they make an expansion with greenskins if they have put deamons in level 1?

4 heroes vs a deamon prince of Tzeentch, I think is a joke. Right?

Because they don't care about value. This is basically a starter box for the regular Warhammer: Age of Sigmar game in the guise of a specialist game.
GW might have heard - under relatively new leadership, by the way, possibly with "good" intentions as far as the wishes of their customers are concerned - that people are crying for the specialist games. That doesn't mean, however, that they already know how it works exactly.
They have to go through with AoS now, after they've made that terrible, knuckleheaded decision, to not lose face and more importantly money.

Again: this is a disguised hook to get you into buying more miniatures! Take it or leave it.
I wish people would be less naive about that company by now.

They sure has begun spitting stand-alone games out!
