Thanks for all the work on Reforged, it looks amazing, and thanks also for providing a Doc version, I’ll defo have a play with that.

Just a question about levelling heroes in Reforged, I can’t fully grasp how it works. There’s three bonus points during Hero creation in Appendix V, then in the Quests & Campaigns (appendix VII) there’s the costs to level up where it’s states “to increase a characteristic put a bonus in training 1 or 2”. How I’ve read it, there are no bonus points left after hero creation. and say even if there were, does that mean in total a hero can only improve two characteristics by 1 point/one characteristic by two points?

Thanks :D

OK, have replaced 'put a bonus in' with 'put a "+1" in', which should make it clearer for the future.
This is not referring to a Bonus Point, but a generic increase.

The net result is that the Bonus Points are used to create a character. AFTER that, they can use Training to increase each characteristic by +2 max, and an additional one by a further +1 using Skills.

I am considering way to try and squeeze the rules into fewer pages but I don't want to lower the clarity for the sake of berevity.

Though I've also had an idea to make them more accessable, it would actually make the rules longer overall.

It involves a summary version of each bit of ruing at the beginning, followed by the full explaination, rationale, and even an example.

If anyone has any thoughts on this I'd be glad to hear them.

Thanks for all you've done/continuing to do! As you say, I'm not sure that's the right idea, because it'll add to overall page length. With the rules, you want the rules - a summary I'm guessing wouldn't be sufficient, and then you'd have to read the rules. There's no gain in my humble opinion.

If anything, I'd suggest reordering the core rules to put the Glossary at the end rather than the beginning, and labelling it "glossary" or something. Then the rules themselves would be fewer pages and you'd be reading about how to kill monsters right from the outset, as opposed to learning a vocabulary list.

As reforged is such a comprehensive, clear approach to AHQ it is inevitably going to be lengthy, which I think is no bad thing.

Also, it might help to rename the documents in Dropbox to "Traps" "Hazards" etc, because the way they are curtailed it's hard to tell what they are:

OK, I've come up with a better way to present the same rules. I'm re-builing the core rules to this template. This may add a couple of pages BUT will make it MUCH more accessable.

I've also been inspired to add another layer to the customisation of the Heroes, taking inspiration from Enhanced. This will make it all tyake longer to get the enxt release out.

That said, this will amek teh new version a major update, making it more interesting & interactive, as well as more accessable.
