2 Actions instead of 1 Action+Movement. I use it in my homebrew campaigns (tougher quests).
A hero on his turn may perform 0-2 different actions:
- movement
- attack
- cast a spell
- treasure search
- trap/s.door search
- trap disarm
Has anyone tried this?

For one quest, yes.
Makes for a faster game if that's what you want. E.g., searching for trap and then disarming it or searching for treasure and secret doors saves quite a few rounds and turns.
But Heroes become overpowered when you play all other rules vanilla, I suppose.
I would definitely exclude Attack + Cast a spell as an option for this from the get go. That's the very first thing that comes to mind.

I would do the search for traps and secret doors to save time.
But the casting and attacking on the same time would make the Heroes too powerful. Imagine what a powerhouse character the Elf would become being able to cast and attack on the same turn.
Now I was considering letting Goblins move, attack and move. Some one here on the forum made that suggestion in a different thread, and I thought that was a great idea to use once We finish the main quest book.

Goblins... M-A-M YESSSS! slippery lil buggers they are. Chasing a goblin that keeps getting a sly dig in up a hall way can make for so much fun on those dice rolls. Try it, you'll see, it doesn't always happen right but when it does!

Interesting, I might give this to my halfling.

He only gets three spells and he'd only be able to do it if he doesn't move.
