Does annoying ever thought about making a HeroCard ? Namelly a heroquest card playing game that you can bring along everywhere you go like on the beach or play in the car ?

What about making this the next community project ? I'm not sure to what extend this is possible, but it sure is exciting!

HeroCard! A game for valliant Heroes!

I sort of did something like this. I made the first two quests. I'll post a link when I get to the computer...I'm on
a device right now, and I hate typing on a touch screen.

Basically, I made a card for each hallway and room involved in each quest. There would be dice cards as well.
the only extra needed would be some paper and something to write with.

I don't believe I've revised the Rescue of Sir Ragnar yet.
Also, I have other cards set up to allow for making rooms better or worse. These would be
random draw cards...perhaps shuffled in with the treasure cards. It would be things like:
- Weak monster room - monster rolls 1 less AD
- Strong Monster room - monster rolls 1 more AD
- Great Treasure Room - add ___ to the treasure in this room

Things like that.

Hello Torilen, thanks for the link i've just read it through there are some good ideas.

What I don't like about it though is that it is quest specific. I'd like to design something the opposite. Do you know of any similar dungeon card game with link to rules that I could read?

It could be great to have a light HQ game with cards, but it’s not easy to make one. I think it could be like talisman, with a map (ex the dungeon expansion) and the event cards where if there is an enemy you roll a dice to see if you beat him or he stays in that square. Or if the board is not a good idea for a beach, it could be like space hulk the card game where you just place some cards for the dungeon and you put the players on them. Each round you roll a dice to see what it comes and do your movements until you clear the level.

Whatever you do (or with more members), you should have in mind that this could be a great opportunity for a kickstarter. It can be started with artwork from HQ and Warhammer world, but this could be changed if the game is good. It’s nice to share ideas, but if some people do much more (for example someone could write texts for 30+ cards) don’t share everything on public. Show a playable part of 25% of the game but keep the final product private for only those who did the 25% or more (4 people is enough).

This is not only for your project. There could be more projects in the future. I don’t know much for how to build a small company with people from different countries, but I am sure it’s possible.

Maike05 - I know exactly what you're looking for. I actually only made the quest-specific sets to get the idea
rolling here at the inn.

I haven't worked on it much lately, but I was working on an idea similar to what I showed you, except it would
be more modular in style - there wouldn't always be a specific goal for a dungeon - you would just put the cards
together, fight the monsters, and pick up the loot.

I was actually attempting to fashion it slightly after Magic the Gathering or the Munchkin card game, where each
player would have certain things they could throw in to make encounters harder or easier. There would be different
sets that player could buy to include special rooms/encounter areas. There would even be outside areas...like a swamp,
that could lead into a dungeon setting.

I haven't quite gotten it worked out yet, though. :D
