Getting Drunk

I came up with an interesting way to allow heroes to get drunk and have it effect the in-game
play. Whereas a lot of beneficial things will allow players to reroll one die of their choice (which
will usually be an unsuccessful die), getting drunk does the opposite. At a certain point, the
player will HAVE to reroll one successful. If the hero is really drunk, maybe the player will
HAVE to roll two successful dice.

I like this method because it doesn't take away from the hero can do by decreasing any dice, it
just makes it harder to do it...which is what being drunk does to you.

Good ideas, though I must admit I'm a little disappointed seeing the ACTUAL content of this thread...

I used to play Drinking & Dragons. You take a drink whenever you roll a miss. It gets harder as you play.

The rules start to get brutal once you get going and are good and drunk. If someone leaves to go to the toilet after pissing anyone off in the party, the pissed-off party must urinate in the absent player's drink. Our record for one night is one guy drank piss four times. He was so drunk he stopped caring.

Sounds like college. Good times.

If getting drunk only has negative effects for the heroes, why would they drink? There have to be some boons as well ;)

Hadn't thought that part through, to be honest. It was just a passing idea,
and I thought I'd share it.
Good point though - there would have to be some positive points to drinking, aside
from the players just wanting to role-play their characters having a night on the town.
