Here is number 2 of my three quest packs I'll be dumping on you all incase anyone wants to take a look.

These are all modular quests which means they don't use the standard gameboard. I use pieces of square patterened linolium, I think it looks pretty good and gives a different experience to players. This quest pack also contains 2 quests that use special boards (the castle board from dragon lance and the town board from dragon strike). Modification would be required for others without those boards.

There are a number of other monsters in these quests that don't come with heroquest, these are mostly figures from the D&D base game-
Gnoll
Wendol, or bugbear
The Balok, or D&D ogre
Carrion Crawlers
1 Knight
1 Thief
Hellhorn, or other demon

The 4 quest treasure cards and mirror tile I've included with the quest pack.

Sorry this file is so massive, I don't have the means to put them all in a compact pdf or proper word format.

Please tell me what you think, I've play tested only up to "The Sunstone Armoury" and it works good.

Hi Ethica

I have the ability to switch .doc to .pdf very easily (OpenOffice.org has it built in, so you can get it for free if you would like as well.)
If you would like I could make all 3 of your new Quest packs into PDFs for you.
Let me know what you think.

Also the quests do not follow the HQ board. How do you go about playing them? I see that you used the board from a couple other games (Drag On Quest and DragonStrike) But other quests look alsmost as if you made them up.

Check out HQ modular-

That guy has some excellent pieces. I get by with shapes cut from square patterned lino. It was really cheap, like £10 for a 4mx1m strip, I still have most of it left.

Many purists will say that all quests have to use the original gameboard and I agree thats better for the sake of sharing quests. But the original board does limit what you can design for a dungeon and players are always covering the same ground.

I'm downloading openoffice now to see what I can do. I make the quests in autocad then convert to pdf then take a snapshot and paste it into a word file as an image. It's a long way of doing it but I can combine the pdfs into one file with the program I have. I'm wondering if when I convert my word file into a pdf it'll be the same size because it's just coying images accross.

Great work man! Though I suspect the modular maps will keep me from plying this for a while :|
