“Heed well my words, Heroes! Long ago, before I counselled the Empire, there was Fellmarg the Great. A Wizard of immense power and wisdom. After centuries of services to the throne he passed away, in Altdorf, peacefully. His tomb was placed in the catacombs at Nuln, his hometown, and there he was to rest. Do you recall that the catacombs became the province of the Gargoyle Verag, whom you defeated? Unfortunately chaos still has hold over the catacombs. Loretome has revealed to me that a foul Necromancer intends to raise Fellmarg from the dead and turn him to chaos. We can not allow this to happen. You must depart for Nuln without delay. Only you, my Heroes, can prevent the rise of Fellmarg and him falling to the thrall of chaos to become Morcar’s newest lieutenant.”

Description: The Rise of Fellmarg continues where Wizards of Morcar left off. It is assumed that players will have completed and be familiar with Kellar’s Keep, Return of the Witch Lord, Against the Ogre Horde and Wizards of Morcar expansion packs to the original game. The Rise of Fellmarg has been designed to fit in with the original UK release of HeroQuest in the late 1980s. It should be compatible with either the original European and U.S. releases of HeroQuest (1989-1991). It can also be played with the more recent re-release of HeroQuest (2021).

Damn. I did my best due diligence I could on that. I'll amend when I get chance. As this is not being sold there shouldn't be an issue with copyright.

Thanks so much for knowing this and sharing - too many people keep things like this to themselves as if the rest of us somehow just know like they do.

In the first quest there are two exits: The door (1), and the stairs (2). Where do the Heroes start?

Solo playtesting this before playing with my brother. Some pics of Quest 3, 'The Knights of Nuln'.

The initial relief of finding this nasty looking room having only a Gargoyle statue and two suits of armour was soon dispelled after Tannenberg the Barbarian found a wandering monster, which in this quest is a Knight of Nuln. The Knight swung his huge sword and scored 4 skulls on 5 dice, but Tannenberg parried well and rolled 3 white shields on his 5 dice for 1 BP lost. Tannenberg now retreated back into the room with the Wizard to give space for others to attack. Prod the dwarf charged in with his Battle axe, but his measly 1 skull was easily defended. Now Tariel the Wardancer leapt into action with his swords of Orion ( 2 x 3 dice attacks) and rolled 1 and 2 skulls. The Knight defended the first but obviously wasn't expecting the 2nd blow and failed to defend. Dante the Wizard stayed back in the safety of the room and cast Rock Skin on Tariel. The final attack would be delivered by the Wizard's Gladeguard henchman with his super sharp spear (2 dice diagonal with -1 defence dice on target). He rolled 2 skulls, and with the Knight only defending one, he was dead.

Now to push on. I wonder if I can avoid the rest of the Knights of Nuln this way...

Pics also show Druzhul the Necromancer of Nuln, Yunkathu the Orc Shaman of the Deff Grindaz tribe, Fellmarg the Chaos Sorcerer, and the Knights of Nuln.

I'm on the final room of the final quest and when setting up I noticed a little sword drawn above the orc in the centre of the big room. What is the significance of this, if any?
