*EDIT - This quest is now part of the DungeonsDark Quest Pack found here: http://forum.yeoldeinn.com/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=3223&p=75821#p62353 - EDIT*

Here is something different:
RestlessDreams.pdf

I was thinking I should re-name this quest "Lost" which has both a reference to the Lost Wizard and the confusing nature of the board and mission.

I *think* it will be fun to play. :)

[This Quest is intended for Champion Heroes who have played through the first 14 Quests. -edit]

Made me a little dizzy trying to figure out the room pattern, but it looks like it will be a fun/challenging quest (the 7 turns to escape kinda worries me).

Ha! This is something truly different. As it should be! I will playtest it on the next possible occasion! :D

Yeah, I counted that you need to move 38 squares. So with 7 turns someone should make it out.

I could not fit my description of the way to play "pass through rock" and keep it al on one page. When inside solid rock I would place the figure in the middle of the board and EWP records the motions on his smaller map. Good chance of getting trapped!!!

I also wanted to suggest that the EWP leave a pencil and paper out for the players (but not otherwise comment).

Perhaps if the quest is unsuccessful the players should just wake-up in Mentor's study? But I think my players will find a way to get one hero out of the dungeon in seven turns. And any players closer to the exit are given the seal, so if you are split-up, you could be lucky!

Ah yes! That you make 38 fields in seven turns is like 96%. No fear for the heroes! :D
That part just makes the impression of being dangerous. Except if you take the wrong direction for sure. :)

If they split up one should make it. But they don't know only one must.

A few big rolls and swift wind should let them take a wrong turn and still get someone out.

Like this quest alot. Might play it with the kids on the weekend.

Might even make some adjustments, as I have two gameboards (actually three, but have plans for cutting one up) and could link the rooms on each board to make it more confusing.

Will let everyone know if that works.

Want my kids to be so dizzy, they want to throw up.

Well, for those of us with more doors than the base game, it could be made "less" confusing by having all non adjacent rooms. As I recall, this configuration is basically using every (open) door in the base set. So there is a method to the madness. I made the rooms first, printed it, then cut them out to figure out how they could make a dungeon.

I came up with this idea because I wanted a quest where the heroes might actually have to map something out. If they take it for granted that they can just wander around until they figure it out, they will be punished in the end. :)

That's the spirit!

I'm seriously torn about the title. Does it give to much away? Would "Lost" be better? Other suggestions?

You could maybe do "Lost in a Dream" to combine them, or "Night of Lost Dreams".

My plans for the third game board are to cut out the rooms and put them on magentic board. Then print a corridor tile only base, so the rooms can be set up randomly.
This would also work nicely for your setup.

Managed to finish this quest with 2 of my kids. The 9yr old being the EWP, my son on his Battlemage and me on my Bounty Hunter.

My Bounty hunter went down, but the BM brought me back with a healing spell. If my daughter was not so hellbent on slaying my sons character, she may have quite easily slain us both.
She did take out both his summoned Great Elementals with much delight.

We managed to get out in two turns, thanks to our running and my sons ability to remember everything. Only one path choice he had forgotten.

The look of total dissapointment on my daughters face that we didnt die though. She scares me sometimes. :)

Enjoyed the map. Might even bump it a bit up a bit as I said, including all Chaos based monsters. Or have some respawns after killing the demon at the end, to slow the chance of escape.
