Ye Olde Inn

I only started back up into HeroQuest and then found this and other great online resources mid-last year. I'd love to hear stories / allow you fine folks here to reminisce on the initial wave of online HeroQuest activity and what this Agin's Inn was all about?

Ya, that's a good question. I got into HQ last year as a result of reminiscing at a pre-Xmas party, simply because we liked to play some board games now and then... like the newer version of RISK that had some objectives for bonuses.

I was talking about the FASA Star Trek roleplaying, where you control a starship and divide its power between (very roughly): moving, firing, and defense shields. Then we got onto roleplaying; our host used to play D&D alot as a teen. My cousin, Korisu brought up the HQ he knew as a kid and how fun it was. I immediately remembered setting it up for them, as I was the oldest at the time, and showed them how to play as DM for the first adventure. I was way to busy otherwise to keep playing then.
How nice that I can not only play it regularly now, it's kind of like a lost treasure from youth!

But I suppose it takes some real dedicated collecting fans to make such an incredible resource-laden website for a relatively obscure game that is somehow no longer in production! (Like Monopoly is loads better?!? Give me a frikkin break!!!)

Was it FASA? I thought it was Task Force Games? As "Star Fleet Battles"?
