2014 resolutions – Heroquest Themed...

...Well title says it all. It's the closure of another year and it was in this year that I re-re-rediscovered my love for HeroQuest! Having slowly crawled through the original questbook with four friends, who have all been hooked and what more questing action, 2014 is going to be a good year for me regarding HeroQuest!

What I plan for 2014 regarding HeroQuest is to print myself a larger gameboard (courtesy of the HeroQuest Revised project). Also I want to print out all the cards and tiles for all the official expansions and purchase either the official figures for the WoM expansion (or good equivalents) to make my collection complete.

Having purchased some good figures on ebay over the past month I also plan to get Advanced HeroQuest learnt and played, with the possibility of somehow incorporating the AHQ gameboard into a HeroQuest game for my friends.

There are also plenty of other HeroQuest related things I am planning to get done in 2014, BUT.....what are YOU planning for 2014 HeroQuest wise???

Would love to hear what you all have planned............HeroQuest 25th of course!!!!!!!!!!

Happy New Year one and all! |_P

I wan't to paint more minis.
And play more board games.

Both have been a little to little this year...

And finally I'm gonna help make a great community effort quest pack to celebrate HQ25 ;)

Finish painting all my official models by the end of the year, and begin working with alternative/custom models. Also saving up towards getting elf and barbarian recast packs. However, my ultimate goal is to convince my partner to play more.

Happy new year! |_P
I think my year will be pretty busy, but I think I'll get done atleast the following:

Me and drathe will finish the Finnish quest book for Against the Ogre Horde.
Me and drathe will start (and hopefully finish) whole Wizards of Morcar in Finnish.

I will finish atleast painting my base game miniatures.
I will buy/make all special monsters needed for the base game.

I will hopefully get some progress on my 3D board.

My playing group will finish playing RotW and AtOH.

I think that's pretty much it :)

Oh, and I need to get my blog up and running :D

Get a meatspace group together to play through the game. I might have to disguise the group as a D&D group just to get people to bother. Then hit 'em with the ol' bait-and-switcheroo~

Finally hammer down all the custom rules and cards I've been working on. It's been 5 games with my group, and I think I change something every time we meet up!

Also, playing some HQ online with y'all would be pretttty rad B-)

My gaming group (aka "The Fellowship of the Pointy Stick") has not been getting together recently and I've been mostly absent from the forums here for the past six months. I hope to rectify that in 2014. I should mention that my they've expressed interest in playing some other games from my modest collection*, but I will make sure that we play some HQ as that always makes for a fun evening.

*Talisman is off the list, but we may try Castle Ravenloft again as it may be more fun/less painful with more players. I also have the HeroScape base game and we may try Forbidden Island or even...egad, Settlers of Catan :o
