a HeroQuest horde

Well yesterday was a very good day for me and my ever increasing HerQuest Collection.

The postamn delivered a heroquest bundle I purchased from a guy off Gumetree. It was sold as seen and contained two heroquest boxes and an Advanced Heroquest box. £45 including postage I thought was too bad. SOLD AS SEEN however. upon scanning the contents, I pretty much have two full copies of HeroQuest (minus one board though :() and the RTWL expansion with box :) I've also got pretty much a complete AHQ game just without instructions (I have a PDF anyways so no biggy!)

Later that evening a friend of mine was popping round. Years ago I stored my board games in his loft for safe keeping whislt I went travelling. A few weeks ago he brought me back over my HeroQuest's and other things. But he couldn't find my Advanced Heroquest or Space Crusade. Well that was then.... last night he turned up with my Space Crusade and 2 copies of Advanced HeroQuest! So the space of a day I now own three more copies of Advanced HeroQuest, 2 HeroQuests and another Space Crusade!

An epic day for hording ;)

Very cool! I have to admit... Collecting is 1/3 of the hobby (painting and playing being the other 2/3)

by the way, even if you love Space Crusade as much as I do, I wouldn't recommend the "Mission: Dreadnought" expansion.
It's simply bad. Overpowered Marine weapons and an insane dreadnought factory level.

yes tons and tons of mini's! :D

Thanks for the advice on the Space Crusade Expansion Goblin-King. My brother had it when we were kids and I can remember the Larger dreadnaught, but not much else really. I haven't even started playing SC again yet and me and all my friends are more than happy to play heroquest to death! at the moment ;) If I come across the expansion at a cheap price I may indulge...otherwise I'll skip it

Yes collecting is 1/3 of the hobby. Well 1/2 for me as I can't paint! So was very satisifed yesterday |_P

I'm only doing 1/3 of the hobby? :o

but surely the best 1/3 of the hobby! :D

ALSO FORGOT TO ADD IN THIS:

inside one of the HeroQuest boxes was a quest written by a previous owner. It must be 20odd years old! :D The writer has drawn the map on A4 and on the back there is the story and information relating to the quest. Although very shodyd looking, there are even cards drawn up for the quest, equipment cards and a quest treasure! Lovely! :D

I will throw the map thorugh HeroScribe and make the cards up (if I can) and upload the quest for people to try out. The quest is called 'The Quest of Fortune' and has a few little suprises thrown in ;)

I was recently given two sets of HEroquest, one Dragonstrike, one Bloodbowl 3rd ed, and a Warhammer Quest w/o the minis. I need a RotWL box, if you don't need yours.

A nice set there buddy! :D

I'm not sure whether I'm going to need the box yet or not; as I may sell a complete boxed expansion. Also I am from the UK and mine is the European style box. I see you're from the US and you'd probably want a US style box right?

OH YEAH! forgot to mention. My friend brought me back my DragonStrike game too which he'd lost! @ ampersand - Dude I know how you feel. I was MOST suprised to get these board games back. From now on lending stuff out just ISN'T happening!!!

ALSO - I picked up Blood Bowl complete in a chairty shop last year for £3!!! :D and I somehow recently got given a copy of Warhammer Quest which I need to check through...looks like most of the stuff is there though (fingers crossed!) |_P
