That's the Eighth Doctor regenerating into the War Doctor. The 11th is regenerating into the 12th at X-mas. The 12th Doctor is Malcolm Tucker.

who saw the 50th anniversary? I loved it, John Hurt's doctor was great.

It had some neat stuff that was really fun to watch, but for the most part it was a big mess of nonsense. It did at least explain how The End of Time worked out and why the Time Lords weren't actually in a Time Lock, and how *lemony goodness* kept coming out of the Time War like craploads of surviving Daleks. There never was any Time Lock, the Doctor only remembered there was (incorrectly).

Bad Wolf's mercy-killing of the War Doctor was interesting.
